Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday, received his Certificate of Return, following his victory in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
Independent National Electoral Commission presented the certificate to Adeleke in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Adeleke’s Special Assistant on Digital Media, Olalekan Badmus, disclosed this on his official X handle.
Badmus said the certificate formally recognises Adeleke as the winner of the election held last Saturday.
Adeleke won the election after polling 511,067 votes to defeat his opponents, including Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who got 444,815 votes.
Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress polled 17,180 votes, coming distant third on the ballot.
