Osun APC spies working against me, we’ll meet in court – Oluwole Oke

A fifth-term lawmaker representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State, Oluwole Oke has vowed to challenge the outcome of the upcoming election in court if he is defeated.

Addressing supporters during a tense strategy meeting in Esa-Oke, the fifth-term legislator who represents the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, claimed that powerful political forces have orchestrated a systemic campaign to terminate his two-decade dominance in local politics.

Oke, who dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after he was denied an automatic return ticket, a move that fractured long-standing alliances in the constituency, accused some APC leaders of working against his ambition.

A visibly aggrieved Oke during the meeting, decried what he described “betrayal” by close political allies and former loyalists, accusing them of colluding with his adversaries to engineer his defeat.

He said, “I have served these people with unwavering loyalty for twenty years, but today, I see the machinery of the state turning against me. There is a coordinated, systemic plan to ensure my failure.

“I control the political trajectory of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency. I am the most popular politician in the zone. If the numbers do not align with the reality of the support on the ground, I am not waiting for a concession call. My legal team is already seated, and we will take this to the highest court in the land.”

Oke also accused his opponents of collaborating with insiders to hijack and divert sensitive electoral materials to rural strongholds favoring his rival to facilitate ballot-stuffing.

Furthermore, Oke claimed that the Ijesa North APC chapter has been heavily infiltrated by spies and moles, creating an atmosphere of deep distrust between him and party chieftains.

He also accused elements within the party leadership of engaging in maneuvers designed to make members and leaders of APC work against him.

While the lawmaker provided no documentary evidence to support his claims of widespread complicity, he insisted that his “intelligence on the ground” confirmed a plot to force his political retirement.

Despite his expressed distrust of the local party structure, Oke concluded by appealing to his core loyalists to stay the course and work hard to deliver a victory for the APC.
