The House of Representatives candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima, popularly known as OmoBarca, has extended warm greetings to the people of the constituency as they begin the month of August.

In a goodwill message made available to journalists on Friday, the NDC flagbearer thanked residents of Ajeromi-Ifelodun for their unwavering support, prayers and encouragement, describing the people as the driving force behind his aspiration to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

“On behalf of my family, supporters and the entire NDC family in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, I warmly welcome our great people to the new month of August. I thank God for preserving our lives and granting us the grace to witness another month filled with hope, opportunities and fresh possibilities,” OmoBarca said.

He urged constituents not to lose faith despite the economic and social challenges facing many households, assuring them that better days lie ahead through collective commitment and purposeful leadership.

According to him, the struggle for a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Ajeromi-Ifelodun remains a shared responsibility that requires unity and active participation by all residents.

“I encourage our people to remain steadfast, hopeful and united. Challenges may come, but with determination, hard work and God’s guidance, we shall overcome them. Our constituency deserves effective representation that places the people first and works tirelessly for their welfare,” he stated.

The NDC candidate reiterated his commitment to the core values of service, integrity, transparency and accountability, stressing that his ambition is driven by a genuine desire to improve the lives of ordinary people across the constituency.

He promised to champion policies and programmes that would promote youth empowerment, job creation, infrastructure development, quality education, improved healthcare and economic opportunities for traders, artisans and small business owners.

“My vision is clear: to build a greater Ajeromi-Ifelodun where every child has access to education, every young person has the opportunity to succeed, every family can pursue a decent livelihood and every community can enjoy the dividends of good governance,” OmoBarca said.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general election, the politician appealed to constituents to continue supporting his aspiration to represent Ajeromi-Ifelodun in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

He described the 2027 election as an important opportunity for the people to choose a new direction anchored on people-centred governance and responsive representation.

“I humbly ask our people to remain steadfast in their support for me and for the Nigeria Democratic Congress as we journey towards the 2027 elections. Together, we can send a strong voice to the House of Representatives—a voice that will speak for the people, defend their interests and attract meaningful development to our constituency,” he said.

OmoBarca emphasised that the movement he represents is not about personal ambition but about collective progress and the future of Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

“This is not about one man; it is about all of us. It is about our children, our youths, our women, our elders and the future we want to build together. With your continued support, prayers and active participation, we can achieve the transformation our constituency has long desired,” he added.

The NDC candidate also called on political supporters and residents to maintain peace, avoid divisive politics and continue engaging one another with mutual respect as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

He concluded by praying for peace, progress and prosperity in every home across Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

“May this new month bring joy to our families, success to our businesses, healing to the sick, strength to the weak and peace to our communities. May God bless every resident of Ajeromi-Ifelodun and bless our beloved constituency abundantly.

Happy New Month to all our people. Together, we can build a greater Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency and secure a stronger future for generations to come.”
