Wife of the late Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, the Towulade of Akinale-Owu, Abeokuta, Olori Rachael Olanike Ogunleye is dead.
According to the Ogunleye Royal Family of Akinale-Owu and the Ogidan-Akinola Family Ilesa, the matriarch, Olori Olanike passed away at the age of 66.
A child development expert, Olori Olanike had a distinguished teaching career at Grange School, Ikeja, St. Saviours School, Ebute Meta and St. Saviours School, Ikoyi.
She led several schools, including as headmistress and served as Acting Principal of Corona Secondary Apapa.
At the time of her passing, Olori Olanike was Manager in charge of Tourism, Museum, and Head of Administration and Procurement at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.
She is survived by children: Subulade, Tewogbade, Damilola, Olumide, Bunmi, Funke, and Dele; her siblings, Mrs Jumoke Akinkoye, Sir (Dr) Charles Diji Akinola (MD/CEO, South West Development Commission) and Sir Gbola Akinola SAN.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the families.
