The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District, Engr. Abdul Hamid Femi Omotayo, has officially commenced strategic consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections with a courtesy visit to the Coalition of Muslim Organisations and Stakeholders (Ijebu Zone) that comprises sixty different groups.
Omotayo led a high-powered delegation of party leaders and notable personalities to the coalition’s secretariat in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, to formally present his legislative ambition and seek their support and prayers.

A Visionary and Humane Leader
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, a party stakeholder, Alhaji Biodun Mebude expressed deep gratitude to the coalition for their long-standing community impact.
He described Omotayo as a visionary leader whose dedication to fairness, inclusivity, and humanitarian service continues to resonate across the senatorial district.
“This consultation visit is a profound recognition of this group’s steadfast influence and values,” the spokesperson stated, reaffirming that the campaign will remain anchored on truth and community development.
An Unprecedented Visit
In his welcome address, the Convener of the Coalition, Alhaji Kehinde Lawal, praised the PDP flagbearer for prioritising the group in his consultation schedule, describing the visit as the first of its kind by a senatorial candidate.
“Engr. Omotayo’s decision to visit us first demonstrates his deep faith in the power of prayer and his respect for this coalition as a spiritual pillar,” Lawal remarked.
Competence Over Party Lines
Alhaji Lawal urged members to actively mobilise their resources for the candidate, noting that Omotayo’s past and present philanthropic contributions to the upliftment of the society make his endorsement well-deserved.
Looking forward to the upcoming polls, Lawal emphasised that the next election will transcend partisan politics.
“The 2027 election is not just about political parties; it is about competence, effective representation, and reclaiming our voice in Abuja,” Lawal declared.
“This man is a philanthropist, a social financier, a lover of education, and a man of integrity. Based on these qualities, the coalition gladly endorses him.”

A Lifelong Commitment to Service
Echoing these sentiments, a prominent leader within the coalition, Ustadh Shittu Gihath, drew a sharp contrast between opportunistic politicians and genuine leaders.
“There are two types of leaders,” Gihath observed. “Those who suddenly discover the people only when elections approach—flooding communities with empty promises and billboards—and those who have made service to humanity a lifelong commitment, like Engr. Femi Omotayo. He is a man of purpose.”
Gihath concluded by stating that the Ijebu and Remo zones urgently need a lawmaker who understands the workings of the Senate, knows the terrain of the constituency, and possesses a proven track record of executing viable projects within and outside his domain.
Expressing appreciation to the Muslim Coalition for their endorsement of his senatorial bid, Alhaji Abdulhamid Femi Omotayo assured that if elected in 2027, he will make the distribution of life-impacting real dividends of democracy his uppermost priority.
He pledged to put in place constituency projects that will be durable and even outlast his tenure in the Senate.
