Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Aliyu Modibbo, says the Northern part of Nigeria is not marginalised as being alleged.
Modibbo stated this on Friday while responding to questions on the state of Northern Nigeria in an interview on Trust TV.

He said, “What people have been peddling is that the North is marginalised. How? When the ministers were appointed, each state gave its own nominee.
“There is no state that is represented twice by another state. Then the President has the prerogative right to add, if he wants to.
“But the North got its right going by what the constitution says that every state must have a minister in the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
“Coming back to allocation, is there any state in the North that has been denied its allocation? Or is there any distribution or intervention done by the president that does not go to any Northern governor.”
