Special Adviser to President on Economic Affairs in the Office of the Vice President, Dr Tope Fasua, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election in 2027.
Fasua stated that he’s yet to see any other presidential contestant who could pose any threat to Tinubu’s re-election as Nigeria’s president in 2027.
He said other political parties lack the platform to pose a challenge to Tinubu.
Fasua, who spoke in a recent interview with broadcast journalist, Seun Okinbaloye, said, “I don’t see who will remove [Bola Ahmed] Tinubu in 2027.
“I don’t even see where you’re going to start. It is going to end up in frustration.
“They don’t even have a platform anymore. Which platform are they using?”
In the 2023 presidential election, Tinubu defeated other parties’ candidates to win the poll on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The likes of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party were his closest rivals at the polls.
