The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal, with 84.70 per cent of candidates obtaining at least five credits.
The result, according to the examination body, covers candidates who obtained five credits and above irrespective of their performance in English Language and Mathematics.
With the results now available, candidates can check their individual scores online using the NECO result-checking portal and a valid result-checking token.
Here is what candidates need to do to access their results:
. First, visit the official NECO result-checking portal at results.neco.gov.ng using a phone, computer or other internet-enabled device.
. On the portal, select 2026 as the examination year.
. You should then choose SSCE Internal as the examination type to proceed with the result-checking process.
. The next step is to enter the NECO result-checking token. Candidates who do not have a token can purchase one through the official portal.
. After entering the token, provide the NECO registration number in the appropriate field.
. Candidates should carefully check the registration number and token to ensure that the details are correct before submitting them.
. Once the information has been entered and verified, click “Check Result” to display the candidate’s result.
. Candidates who encounter difficulties while trying to access their results are advised to confirm that they selected the correct examination year and examination type.
. They should also ensure that they have a stable internet connection and recheck the registration number and result-checking token if the result does not immediately appear.
The release means candidates can now proceed to access their individual 2026 SSCE Internal results through the official NECO portal.
