National Counter-Terrorism Centre, on Thursday, officially handed over the former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Maharazu Tsiga (rtd) to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
Tsiga, who regained his freedom after spending 56 days in captivity, was handed over alongside a former Ambassador and other victims, who were abducted by bandits in Katsina State.
Recall that on February 5, 2025, the former NYSC boss was abducted from his hometown in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Coordinator of the NCTC, Maj General Adamu Laka, while speaking before handing them over to the NSA, explained that the security forces from the military, DSS, police and other agencies worked round the clock to ensure the rescue of the kidnapped persons.
