RonPortugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has sent a message of support to Argentina captain Lionel Messi after the Inter Miami forward posted an emotional tribute to his late father, Jorge Messi.

Jorge Messi died last Friday at the age of 68 after a prolonged illness.

Messi broke his silence today (Wednesday) as he revealed how much he misses his father.

The former Barcelona captain also expressed doubts over continuing his professional football career.

Responding to Messi’s post on Instagram, Ronaldo offered words of support to the eighth-time Ballon d’Or winner.

“A huge hug to you and yours in these tough times, Leo. Much strength,” Ronaldo wrote in the comments section of Messi’s post.
