Police in Ekiti have arraigned a 33-year-old man, Fatai Yisa, before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ado-Ekiti for alleged theft of pure water.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant, who was employed as a sales assistant at a factory, stole 1,570 bags of pure water between January and June 10, 2025.
Inspector Oriyomi said the stolen items, valued at N549,500, were the property of one Oluwa Tobi Opeyemi.
The prosecutor further told the court that the offence contravenes Section 302 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
