The phrase, “Life is brief” is a general knowledge by almost everyone. However, not all who pass through life live consciously of this stark reality. Living dangerously and carelessly appear to be the norm in this life.

Herein lies the burden of young lady and budding author, Miss Mayowa Rojaiye, a 300-Level of Surveying and Geo-Informatics at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

Mayowa Rojaiye’s burden, wrapped up in several pages in book form, is a wake-up call for all humans living on this earth to urgently discover the real purpose for existence and embrace purpose-driven lifestyles.

The book, titled, “Brevity of Life”, is set for launching and public presentation in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital on Sunday December 21, 2025.

Mayowa spoke glowingly about the upcoming book during an interview as captured in this drift.

Hear her: “This book was not written for formality. It was written from burden, reflection, and revelation. It came out of moments of deep thinking, questions that kept returning, and a desire to understand why people live without urgency or purpose.

“Every chapter was crafted with the intention to awaken readers, to make them pause and confront the truth that time is moving, choices are shaping us, and life will not wait for anyone.

“It is a book created to stir conscience, to challenge the soul and assist in helping the would-be reader to realign in terms of their priorities in life.

“The idea came from an urgent inner need to understand life, death, purpose, and time. It was fueled by witnessing how people waste their days, live without intention, and die unfulfilled, never becoming who they were meant to be.

“The book was inspired by deep questions about what life means in practical term as well as reflections on mortality and observations of how people drift without clarity. It’s therefore a burden to awaken people before regret takes toll.”

To those closely associated with her, Mayowa Rojaiye is a writer, thinker, and proudly goes by the Pen Name, The Thought Alchemist.

Beyond academics, she is an emerging public speaker, a voice on online platforms, and someone who has been actively reaching out to teenagers and youths with messages of awareness, purpose, and conscious living.

She describes herself as someone whose thoughts run deeper than the surface, someone driven by curiosity, reflection, and a passion for conversations many people ordinarily avoid.

Her burden is simple but heavy: people are living, yet many are not truly alive. She is committed to changing that narrative, God helping her.

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, Rojaiye will draw a large assemblage of authors, fellow students, family members and church faithfuls to the launching of Brevity of Life scheduled to hold at the expansive Auditorium of the LordArise Global Christian Church, near Ile Paako at Oke-Aregba, Abeokuta at 1pm.
