The final rites of passage for the late Secretary to the Ondo State Government(SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi, have been scheduled to hold from February 5 to 7, 2025.
A top member of the burial committee, who pleaded anonymity because he’s not authorised to speak for the government, confirmed the arrangements to Weekend Hope on Thursday.
Oluwatuyi, fondly called “Tukana,” died on January 4, 2025 from injuries sustained in a fatal auto crash.
According to the programme schedule, there will be a Tributes Evening and Candlelight Procession from 4 to 6 pm on Thursday, February 5, to terminate at his Oshinle Quarters Family House in Akure.
On Friday, February 6, the late SSG’s body will lie in state at the headquarters of Akure South Local Government, where he was once council chairman.
On Saturday, February 7, the late Oluwatuyi’s body will be honoured with a lying-in-state at the Akure International Conference Centre (The Dome), to be followed by interment at Oshinle Quarters, Akure.
