Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has kind words for the club’s new acquisition Ademola Lookman.
The LaLiga giants were among the clubs linked with the tricky winger last summer.
The Rojiblancos finally signed their man on the final day of the winter transfer window, after moving ahead of Turkish club, Fenerbahce.
Lookman has already trained with his new teammates twice since arriving the Metropolitan Stadium.
Simeone stated that the Nigeria international exhibited his qualities during the two sessions.
“He joined the group very quickly, and you could immediately notice his physical strength, his speed, his ability to change the play, and his power in the final third.We hope he can help us in the way he believes he can, and in the way we expect,” Simeone was quoted by Football Espana.
The Argentine could hand Lookman his debut against Real Betis on Thursday.
