Mr. Ken Imasuagbon, has exhibited yet again, his verbal diarrhea, on Channels TV on Friday, 6 November 2026 under the herculian task of trying to sell his poisoned chalice of a candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. I do not only sympathise with him as an agent provocateur of a beleaguered but yet astonishingly optimistic candidate who can only at best disrupt the political stability between the North and the South, additionally, I pitied him for the amount of pain he’ll suffer in his knees doing penance for the dubious and inaccurate submissions on a number of issues he touched on during the time wasted on him on air, if he is to make heaven.

I had thought that Mr. Imasuagbon would have grown up by now and come to the unwavering determination that there has to be a conscious, and deliberate effort to sustain the North-South arrangement in terms of rotation of the presidential contest. His seeming blinding psychosis, coupled with the desperation of his principal, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have obviously made them believe that they can rupture this algorithm of political balancing. Watching him left me flustered, requiring to pinch myself to confirm to myself that the interview was real.
A Ken Imasuagbon political emanation, is bad luck. Over the last twenty-six years, of our democratic journey, Imasuagbon has been playing the opposition card, and has never belonged to any political party that successfully prosecuted any gubernatorial and or presidential election. He has become, just like Atiku Abubakar, the longest serving political contestant in the history of electoral contest in Nigeria. He has contested, albeit, woefully for governorship for the sixth term, while his boss and principal, is contesting for president for the umpteenth time. Birds of similar plumage flock together, they say. That was why when I saw Ken Imasuagbon talking on, and selling Alhaji Atiku Abubakar against a more qualified and eminent President Tinubu, I knew already that electoral failure had camped in their neck of the woods, yet again. Imasuagbon is an unfortunate guy; he has this uncanny curse that makes him always suffer failed political adventures, and surely this one will not be an exception, as his jinx has not expired.

He talked about Ewohinmi, his ancestral home in Edo Central, and poorly told a black lie about the condition of the roads there. How more dubious can he be? Ewohinmi to Benin City takes approximately one hour to travel; even if one was jaunting without a clear mission. That reported rabble-rouser on which Seun wasted his time, said it takes five hours; I presume he meant if he was traveling by swimming in alcohol. The road network that Governor Monday Okpebholo has commenced across the entire Edo Central nay, the state is second to none in the history of the state.
Imasuagbon as a poor student of history doesn’t know that no points are scored for fabrications that are empirically verifiable. Rather than stating the obvious on the present reality of state of affairs in Edo state, he went on rambling and blabbing as a typical rabble-rouser that he has become, to parrot inaccuracies, outright lies, dubious statistics, and scurrilous inanities in a bid to score cheap political points. He is breaking so much sweat because the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s presidential contest has already become stillborn, and any further effort to sustain such a narrative would race it to nullity. Aside from being against the run of play, Atiku Abubakar’s aspiration is untrusted. He is seen as an economic buccaneer and predator, who is desperate to return subsidy regime of rot, corruption, and wholesale embezzlement.
President Tinubu has embarked on remarkable reforms that will birth a new and prosperous nation with result-driven economic realities. We are now moving from actionable reforms to prosperity; and Nigerians are all in agreement that having stabilised the macro economic indices over the last three years , President Tinubu’s next four year term will be aimed at deepening the micro-economic gains, across industries to strengthen our macro economic frame as a nation. With a Ken Imasuagbon in the fray for Atiku Abubakar, the political campaign of President Tinubu is a breeze. He and his principal are long-time rejects. All we need do now is make sure that they don’t try to transmute their identities to hoodwink Nigerians into identifying with them.
