The battle lines are officially drawn, and they are not just written in regional loyalties – they are etched in ink. Ogun 2027 is shaping up to be an epic geopolitical border war, where ancestral bragging rights matter just as much as policy points. At the heart of this early maneuvering is Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, affectionately known as Yayi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer. Currently serving as the powerhouse Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation and representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Yayi has fundamentally altered the race by formally unveiling his nine-pillar manifesto, tagged, “ITESIWAJU for Ogun State”.
Unveiled during a strategic meeting with the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Abeokuta, the manifesto signals more than a routine campaign document. He is ready to prove that the opposition won’t yield ground easily. Forget standard politics, this is a high-stakes heavyweight showdown between a historic Ogun West awakening and entrenched dominance.
