Nothing is more irritating than a broken record on repeat. That is exactly what the Ogun State PDP and its unregistered flag-bearer, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, sound like at the moment. The refrain is monotonous, and just as the ear abhors repetitive lyrics, the people of Ogun State are now asking if Ladi and his supporters have no other story to spin against the APC candidate except that he is not from Yewa.
Instead of debunking the news making the rounds that the recent Supreme Court judgment in favour of INEC’s electoral guidelines has effectively closed the door on his eligibility to contest the forthcoming elections, the party continues to daydream about the indigeneship of his opponent, Aremo Senator Olamilekan Adeola-Yayi – an indigeneship that has been confirmed by everyone, including the distinguished Senator’s septuagenarian stepmother.
Why are PDP followers behaving like the proverbial deaf man who keeps singing the last song he heard? As the Yoruba would say, “Orin ti Aditi ba gbo kehin ni yio ko titi di ojo iku” – the deaf man will sing the last song he heard till his dying day. So sorry for these shallow minds.
The PDP should wisely address the disaster knocking at its door.
The question Ladi should answer publicly is whether or not his name was listed in the authentic PDP register that was submitted to INEC before the official deadline expired. Not these antiquated allegations that have no basis
When will former Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello retrieve her lost voice, or has she given her mouth out for laundry?
Ladi and his co-travellers should put on their thinking caps and figure out how they will navigate the political tsunami blowing right from the Supreme Court.

My concern now for Ladi is how he will account to his sponsors for the billions he has squandered on a moribund project.

The bullet from the Supreme Court must have pierced her voice box, as she can no longer sing like a canary bird.
A woman whom the President and leader of the APC received with courtesy in Aso Rock, now out of inordinate ambition, has resorted to abusing everyone.
Let her abuse the Supreme Court too.
Her abuse will not reverse the court verdict that has closed the door of the Senate against the erstwhile Senator in the next legislative year.
