The peace loving people of Agbobiri community in Okordia Kingdom in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have elected and crowned their Paramount Ruler, His Highness Sunday Inebisa as their Amananaowei, Aluko the 12th, and his Deputy Chief, Inemo Thompson Otasi.

According to the age long tradition of the kingdom, the newly elected and crowned Paramount ruler will pilot the affairs of the community four a period of four years.

Accepting responsibility as the Paramount ruler, His Highness Sunday Inebisa thanked the people for entrusting confidence in him and voted massively in his favour.

Chief Inebisa assured every son and daughter from the community for objective and unbiased leadership styles, as pleaded for their unwaivering support.

He promised to work with the stakeholders, local and state governments to bring needed desire development to the community. ” I will always consult with my people before critical decisions are taking. I also promised to work for the interest of our people”, he said.

While welcoming him to join the Council of Chiefs, the Ibedaowei of Okordia clan, King Richard Seiba advised Chief Sunday Inebisa to maintain peace in the community as his contribution towards the growth of the kingdom is sacrosanct bearing in mind that Agbobiri is the traditional headquarters of the clan and the district of Okordia/Zarama/Biseni at large.

Presenting their goodwill messages, the Paramount Ruler of Edagberi community in Engeni Kingdom, His Highness Sunny Jacobs and a woman leader of Agbobiri community, Ovie Donkuno charged him to be close to the people with tendencies to humble himself as well as carry the women along in the scheme of development.

On his part, the Chairman Board of Trustees of PIA Host Communities Trust Okordia Zarama, Engineer Miebi Lambert assured that Agbobiri community which holds a strategic position will be focused on developmental activities, adding that the community is anticipated to produce more oil/gas wells in the future.

The people of Agbobiri community unanimously elected Chief Sunday Inebisa and subsequent coronation, which was conducted by the oldest man, Chief B. J. Gbaranbibi, who was flanked by the King, Richard Seiba and his Council of Chiefs.

The highlight of the event was the coronation ceremony of the Paramount Ruler, and inauguration of the compound Chiefs which includes, Amaitari Etekpe for Agianwari, Obunge Fakidouma for Kalagba, Glory Kenya for Ozoukuno.

Others are, Gilbert Okah for Adawari, Ebitonye Donkuno for Kaladu, and Gowon Daniel for Somuwari families.
