A socio-political pressure group, Edo Collectives has accused the main opposition All Progressives Congress in the state of importing thugs for next Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The group alleged that the thugs who are mostly from Kogi and Imo states are meant to disrupt the election.

Edo Collectives further alleged that the APC is determined to cause confusion at the polling centres during the election.
Ese Ipboba, the spokesperson for the group, alleged that the same thugs employed from these states were already in Edo with a mandate to achieve their mission.
Ese, however, said the Edolites are more determined this time around to ensure a peaceful election come September 21.
She stressed that the Edo people would do everything to protect their votes and are ready for the thugs.
“We will not allow them to come and disrupt the election. And we shall not give them the latitude to write results without recourse to the electorates,” she added.
