Immediate past governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Jibrilla (Bindow) has formally joined the African Democratic Congress.
Bindow, who was Adamawa governor on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, between 2015 and 2019 and previously senator for Adamawa North Zone between 2011 and 2015, formally registered his membership of the ADC on Monday at his ward in Mubi North Local Government Area.

He was then issued his ADC membership card.
By the new development, Bindow has become the third foremost Adamawa-born politician to join the ADC coalition.
Earlier, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who was also the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, had defected to the ADC, followed closely by the 2023 APC governorship candidate, Senator Aishatu Binani.
