Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has claimed Michael Carrick will be Manchester United manager next season.
Carragher was speaking on Monday Night Football, after the Red Devils beat Brentford 2-1 in the Premier League on Monday.
The victory at Old Trafford all but sealed Champions League football return, as they now sit in third place and 11 points clear of Brighton in sixth place.
Carrick has now overseen nine wins in 13 games since hewas appointed as interim manager after Ruben Amorim was sacked.
Carragher expects him to keep the job following a couple of “sensational results”.
He said on Sky Sports: “He’s going to be the Manchester United manager, certainly next season, no doubt about that – and you can’t say he doesn’t deserve it.
“These are absolutely sensational results. They are the results of a title-winning team, or a team going for the league.
