Gabriel Martinelli is now Arsenal’s most expensive sale, following his €70 million move to Al Hilal was confirmed on Thursday.

The Gunners have also included a sell-on clause as part of the agreement with the Saudi Pro League side.

Previously, Arsenal sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool for £35 million in 2017 and Nicolas Anelka to Real Madrid for €35 million in 2000.

1. Gabriel Martinelli to Al Hilal for €70m in 2026

2. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool for €38m in 2017

3. Nicolas Anelka to Real Madrid for €35m in 1999

6. Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham for €31.8m in 2024

7. Robin van Persie to Manchester United €30.7m in 2012

8. Alex Iwobi to Everton for €30.4m in 2019

9. Folarin Balogun to Monaco for €30m in 2023

10. Eddie Nketiah to Crystal Palace for €29.7m in 2024
