Ahead of Saturday, April 4, 2026, commissioning of the Cargo Airport in Ogun State and the inauguration of two commercial aircrafts, dedicated to the export and import of goods, the Olodo-De Elders’ Group of Yorubaland heartily welcomes President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the auspicious event.
The socio-cultural group, while welcoming the President on behalf of its Grand Patron and Assistant Grand Patron, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), CFR, the Ooni of Ife, and His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo (Okukenu IV), CFR, the Alake of Egbaland, respectively, said “This milestone is a bold step toward boosting the state’s economic growth and prosperity.”
The statement reads in part: “It is with joy and deep gladness that we receive you in the very land where your courageous declaration, “Èmi Lókàn” (“It is my turn”), was birthed. As an Elders’ Group, we celebrate the courage and resilience that shaped your political journey, which has now blossomed into remarkable progress and development for our great nation.”
Jointly signed by its Founder and National Cordinator, Olajide Kamilu; Assistant Secretary, Bamidele Benjamin; and Senior Media Adviser, Elder Adetokunbo Fakeye, the group prayed for God’s continued guidance of President Tinubu’s
steps, grant him good health, and bless him with enduring peace
