ABAKALIKI

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi State have resolved to win all available elective positions in the state in the 2027 general elections.

The resolution was reached on Sunday at a crucial stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Abakaliki, as the Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha-led State Working Committee intensified efforts to strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the polls.

The meeting was attended by members of the National Assembly, Ebonyi State House of Assembly members, local government chairmen, APC local government chairmen and candidates of the party for the 2027 elections, among other critical stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, the state APC Chairman, Chief Emegha, charged party leaders and stakeholders to close ranks and work in synergy across the three senatorial zones, federal constituencies and state constituencies.

He stressed that the party must remain united and formidable, declaring that the APC should not concede any elective position in Ebonyi State to opposition parties in 2027.

Emegha urged stakeholders to deepen grassroots mobilisation and strengthen cooperation among party members, noting that unity and effective coordination would be critical to achieving the party’s ambition of sweeping the polls.

The Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator representing Ebonyi North, Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, alongside the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, OON, assured the party leadership of the readiness of APC candidates and stakeholders to work together for victory.

They pledged that party leaders and candidates would close ranks and mobilise support across the state to ensure what they described as a landslide victory for the APC in all elective positions.

Also speaking, the ALGON Chairman and Executive Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area,Mrs Helen Aduga, pledged the support of all local government chairmen to the party’s candidates.

She thanked Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the APC for the opportunity given to them to contest and win the recent local government elections, promising that the chairmen would justify the confidence reposed in them by working tirelessly to deliver the party in the 2027 elections.
