The palace of Hama Bata was aglow with celebration as His Royal Majesty, Humon Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke (Diyo Shifoto Kpwa-ngashe Tikulo Bata), conferred the prestigious chieftaincy title of DYAPA BWATIYE on Chief Dr. Maurice Vunobolki FCA, in recognition of his unparalleled selfless service to humanity.

The vibrant coronation ceremony, steeped in cultural pride, drew cheers, praises, and resounding hails from the Adamawa community, celebrating a son whose transformative leadership has left an indelible mark on the state.

Dr. Vunobolki’s conferment as DYAPA BWATIYE—a title symbolizing honor and service among the Bwatiye people—reflects his extraordinary contributions to Adamawa’s progress.

A local resident, beaming with pride, declared, “It’s a well-deserved title given to our son. He has been at the forefront of state and community development!”

The sentiment echoed through the crowd, as Vunobolki’s legacy of empowerment and development was celebrated with fervor.

Dr. Maurice Vunobolki’s journey is a testament to dedication and excellence. A distinguished banker who rose to the rank of corporate manager in multiple financial institutions, Vunobolki has leveraged his expertise to create countless job opportunities for Adamawa’s youth.

His tenure in the banking sector showcased his mastery of development finance, entrepreneurship, and leadership, earning him a reputation as a subject matter expert in development economics.

Currently serving as the Coordinator of the North-East Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), a Federal Government and World Bank initiative, Vunobolki has spearheaded transformative efforts to rebuild and empower communities in Nigeria’s North-East.

His strategic vision and change-driven leadership have been pivotal in driving sustainable development, ensuring that no corner of Adamawa remains untouched by progress.

As noted in a recent report, Vunobolki emphasized that such initiatives are about “restoring dignity and hope to farmers, empowering youth and women, and contributing to the state’s prosperity.”

Dr. Vunobolki’s commitment to humanity shone brightly during the recent International Day of Persons with Disabilities, where he donated 30 tricycles and N2 million in cash to persons with disabilities across Adamawa.

This gesture, one of many, underscores his dedication to uplifting the most vulnerable. From supporting farmers with solar-powered irrigation pumps and organic fertilizers to fostering youth empowerment through skill acquisition programs, Vunobolki’s philanthropy has become a cornerstone of hope for the state.

“Chief Vunobolki is a pillar of progress,” said a community leader. “No place in Adamawa has not felt the impact of his leadership.”

The coronation at Hama Bata’s palace was a spectacle of unity and pride, with dignitaries, community members, and youth pouring out to honor their new chief. The title of DYAPA BWATIYE is not merely an accolade but a call to continue serving with integrity and passion.

As the crowd erupted in cheers, it was clear that Vunobolki’s contributions—spanning economic empowerment, job creation, and community development—have cemented his place as a beloved leader.

As Adamawa looks to the future, Chief Dr. Maurice Vunobolki stands as a beacon of hope, a leader whose selfless service continues to inspire. The DYAPA BWATIYE title is a fitting tribute to a man who has dedicated his life to transforming lives and building a brighter Adamawa.
