Peoples Democratic Party says the Rivers State House of Assembly members who defected from the party to the All Progressives Congress are the enemies of democracy in Nigeria.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong said the lawmakers are merely doing the bidding of their demigod and paymasters.

Ememobong said in a statement that the action of the lawmakers would go down in history as a mockery of the legislative arm of government.
Recall that on Friday, 17 lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly dumped the PDP for the APC.
Speaker Martin Amaewhule led the lawmakers who announced their defection during plenary.
Amaewhule blamed the factionalisation of the PDP for the development.
He told lawmakers he had formally notified his ward chairman of his exit from the PDP, adding that he had already joined the APC.
But PDP, in its reaction, condemned the action of the Rivers lawmakers, saying, “We have seen on various media platforms news of the defection of some members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, who, for a second time, announced their defection from our party.
“We recall that they had done so earlier and later recanted. These are people whom the world is aware are doing the bidding of their paymaster and demigod.
“They will go down in history as enemies of democracy and those who made mockery of the legislature.”
