The Proprietor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Crescent University, Abeokuta, Prince Ma’ruf Adesegun Ajibola, SAN, has announced the appointment of the institution’s new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti.
Prince Adesegun Ajibola unveiled this during the 20th Founder’s Day quadruple events of the institution where a total of ninety four members of staff were honoured with long service awards.
According him, Ebiti is now the Chairman of the Governing Council of Crescent University for the next dispensation.
He described Alhaji Ebiti as a great supporter of the vision of academic and moral excellence.
A seasoned Nigerian accountant, industrialist and philanthropist, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti is the brainchild of Ibeji Foundation through which many indigent but brilliant students have benefited from scholarships to public and private universities, including Crescent University.
He is also an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a distinguished fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN).
A friend of Crescent University, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti has been a great supporter of the institution since inception.
Until now, he was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of Summit University, Offa.
The university management and community wish Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti a successful tenure.
