United States of America has delivered some military hardware to Nigerian security agencies.
This development is in support of ongoing operations against terrorists in the country.
United States Africa Command, AFRICOM, announced the delivery in a post on X on Tuesday.
AFRICOM wrote on X, “US forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasizes our shared security partnership.”
Lately, Nigeria has been experiencing an upsurge in insecurity, with bandits and terrorists kidnapping hundreds of people for ransom.
Recall that last Christmas Day, US forces launched airstrikes on terrorist enclaves in North-West Nigeria.
