Terrorists, on Friday, invaded and abducted no fewer than 52 students and staff from St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.
But a source, who confirmed the incident on Friday, noted that the school was still compiling its records to ascertain the exact number of those kidnapped.
“Yes, it is true, but I am not in a position to give details. The church will issue an official statement later in the day,” a source who pleaded anonymity said.
As of the time of filing this report, police in Niger State had yet to make any statement on the incident.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached on the phone.
This incident comes a few days after terrorists attacked a government school in Kebbi State, abducting no fewer than 25 students.
