Abia South Senator, Eyinnaya Abaribe, on Wednesday, dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance for the African Democratic Congress.
Abaribe announced his defection to ADC in Enugu shortly after former Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi, formally joined the ADC.
Recall that Abaribe had joined APGA in 2023 after leaving his previous party to contest the Abia South senatorial seat.
The lawmaker declared his full alignment with the ADC, describing Obi as his political leader.
Abaribe said, “Let me also announce that I have resigned from the All-Progressive Grand Alliance
“So as of now, I am fully in ADC. Following my brother and our leader, Mr Peter Obi, I wish all of us well, and I know that we’re going to get there.”
