Former President, Muhammadu Buhari is dead.
He died in a London hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Recall that last week, Vice President Kashim Shettima paid a visit to the ailing former president in a hospital in London, where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
On Sunday evening, Buhari’s former aide, Bashir Ahmad, and his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, confirmed the former president’s death.
A terse statement by Garba Shehu read, “The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”
