Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) has appointed Most Senior Special Apostle Pastor Gabriel Kassim as the Acting Spiritual Father (Baba Aladura) of the church.

CSMC’s Conference Secretary-General, Snr. Sp. Ap. Prophet (Dr.) Anthony Olusesan Samaye, announced this in a statement on Thursday.
Kassim succeeds the late Spiritual Father of the CSMC Worldwide (Ayo Ni o), His Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo, who also doubled as the Supreme Head (Olori) of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria. Baba Aladura Alogbo died on July 30, 2026 at the age of 93.
The statement added that the Acting Baba Aladura’s appointment takes immediate effect.
Samaye disclosed that the decision to appoint Kassim as the Acting head of the CSMC was reached at an extraordinary meeting of the church’s Board of Trustees held on Thursday at His Grace Vicarage, Galilee Land, Orile-Igbon, Oyo State.
The statement further said that the Acting Baba Aladura was appointed to ensure continuity in the church’s spiritual leadership and administration.
Most Senior Special Apostle Kassim currently serves as the Chairman of the CSMC, Ayo Ni o, New York District in the United States.
According to the statement, “The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) Board of Trustees, at its Extraordinary Meeting held today, 20 August 2026, at His Grace Vicarage, Galilee, has appointed Most Senior Special Apostle Pastor Gabriel O. Kassim as the Acting Spiritual Father of the Church, with immediate effect.
“Most Senior Special Apostle Pastor Gabriel O. Kassim, who currently serves as the Chairman of New York District, is a respected and dedicated servant of God whose wealth of experience, commitment and service to the Church will be invaluable in this new capacity.”
The church, therefore, urged its members to support the Acting Baba Aladura Kassim as he assumes the new responsibility.
The church also appealed to members to remain united and prayerful, expressing confidence in the continued fulfilment of its spiritual mandate.
The statement added, “We therefore enjoin all members of the Church to accord him the necessary support, cooperation and respect as he assumes this important responsibility.
“We trust that, with our collective prayers, support and continued submission to the will of God, the Church will remain united and steadfast in the fulfilment of its divine mandate.”
The church prayed for divine guidance and strength for its congregation worldwide and its leaders.
