Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed more than 10 people in an attack on Gurbi community in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security analyst, Bakatsine, disclosed this incident in a post shared on X on Sunday.
The post stated that the attackers invaded the community in the evening and began to shoot sporadically at residents.
Bakatsine wrote, “This evening, bandits attacked Gurbi community in Kankara LGA of Katsina State, killing more than 10 people and injuring several others. Witnesses say the bandits opened fire on fleeing civilians, while security forces arrived only after significant casualties were recorded.
“How many more lives must be lost before timely protection is guaranteed?”
