Manchester United legend, has shared his thoughts on the possible winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
The former England defender said that Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germain could be crowned the best player in the world for 2025.
No doubt, the French winger has had a season to remember for the Parisians, scoring 33 goals and making 13 assists in 48 outings across competitions.
He scored eight of his goals and contributed four assists in 14 outings in the UEFA Champions League.
Ferdinand told One Football that Dembelè stands the chance of being named the Ballon d’Or winner by September when the award would be handed out to the voted player.
The player helped the Parisians claim a quadruple this season, being the first club to have achieved this since the 1966-67 football season.
He said, “Who is going to win the Ballon d’Or? I’m gonna go….Dembelè.”
The award was won by Manchester City star, Rodri last year.
Others in contention for the award this year are Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, and Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
