International Air Transport Association says Nigeria has cleared 98% of the blocked funds belonging to foreign airlines operating in the country. In June 2023, Nigeria’s blocked funds peaked at $850 million, which negatively affected airline operations and finances in the country. Power Generation Companies (GenCos) have raised the alarm that over N3.7trn debt owed to the companies is threatening their operations, warning that failure to settle it will result in the collapse of electricity generation in the country. Kogi State Government, on Sunday, announced the rescue of the remaining eight kidnapped students of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.
