Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue has said his administration inherited over N359 billion salary arrears of several years from his predecessor. Prof. Saidu, who was DVC Research, Innovation, and Development at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, was killed by his assailants while on his way from Sokoto to Kaduna on Monday. Police in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested four suspects over the murder of the National Chairman, Retired Members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Brig. Gen. Harold Udokwere. Udokwere was oattacked and killed in his house in Kubusa, Abuja, on Saturday, by a three-man armed robbery gang.
