Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Thursday, kicked against Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s decision to constitute transition committees for the 18 local government areas and 33 local council development areas in the state. Samuel Adesola, Abuja Supreme Court, on Thursday, granted local government councils the long-sought autonomy, barring state Governors from withholding LG funds. The apex court gave this verdict while delivering judgment in the suit instituted by the Federal Government against the 36 state Governors on local government autonomy.
