Twenty five persons, including 10 members of the same family, have lost their lives in a boat mishap in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. The incident occurred at about 2pm on Saturday when the victims were traveling to the weekly Zumba market. Sarkin Ruwa Zumba, Umar Isah, confirmed the number of casualties as 25. Eric Chelle and his players touched down in Zanzibar on Friday night. The contingent departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Thursday for the trip. Dangote Cement has announced the retirement of its founder and majority shareholder, Aliko Dangote, from his role as Chairman of the Board. Dangote Group’s Chief, Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday.
