Former Kaduna Central Senatorial District lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, says former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s visit to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari is ‘trekking in the Sahara’.
Sani said Atiku’s visit to Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, would be appropriate if it was for Sallah homage.
But Sani said it’s like trekking in the Sahara, if it was a political mission.
Sani in a post on his X handle on Sunday, wrote, “If the Daura visit is a sallah homage, that’s okay. If it’s a political mission, it’s like trekking in the Sahara.”
Atiku who was the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the last general elections, visited Buhari on Saturday at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
The former Vice President was in company with the immediate past governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, as well as other PDP stakeholders.
