Members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos staged a protest at the House of Assembly complex on Monday, demanding the immediate sack of the party’s state Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
The protesters from the 57 Local Council Development Areas across the state, converged on the Assembly complex in Alausa, Ikeja, carrying placards with messages like ‘Ojelabi Must Go’ and ‘We Demand New Leadership’.

The protesters expressed dissatisfaction with the current leadership of the APC in the state, demanding a shake-up in the state party structure ahead of future political activities.
Several armed policemen were deployed in the Assembly complex to ensure the protest remained peaceful and to prevent any degeneration into violence or disruption of public order.
The Assembly and the Lagos APC had yet to comment on the protest as of the time of filing this report.
