From Seyi Tayese, Yenagoa

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State have continued to commend the ongoing registration and enumeration of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Support Groups, describing the exercise as a strategic initiative that will strengthen the party’s grassroots structure, enhance coordination, and position it for greater electoral success.

The Bayelsa State APC Youth Leader, Hon. Abi Morris gave the commendation while receiving the leadership of the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum during a call on him at the State Party Secretariat.

He explained that the registration exercise is a deliberate and fundamental party process designed to constitutionally and administratively integrate NGOs and Support Groups into the activities and programmes of the APC.

According to him, the initiative will create a reliable database that will improve coordination, deepen participation, and foster stronger collaboration between the party and its numerous support groups.

The Youth Leader disclosed that over 500 NGOs and Support Groups have already been registered and applauded their commitment to the exercise.

He urged organizations that are yet to register to take advantage of the opportunity before the exercise concludes on 31st July, stressing that a united and well organized support base is essential to achieving the party’s objectives and securing victory in future elections, particularly in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He further appealed to all eligible organizations across the state to complete their registration within the stipulated period, assuring them that the exercise is free, transparent, and aimed solely at strengthening the APC’s inclusive and participatory structure.

Earlier, in their separate remarks, the Director-General of the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum, Comrade Deme Ataribo Ayawari, and the East-Senatorial Director, Hon. George Sibi Matthew, commended the party leadership for creating an enabling platform for NGOs and Support Groups to become more actively involved in party affairs.

They noted that the registration exercise provides members with a greater sense of belonging and offers committed groups the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the APC.

They praised the leadership of the Bayelsa State APC Chairman, Rt. Hon. Warman Ogoriba, for repositioning the party for peace, unity, progress, and future electoral victories.

The Forum reaffirmed its commitment to aggressive grassroots mobilization across the state, stating that it remains determined to strengthen the APC from the ward level upward.

The delegation also appealed for a stronger partnership with the Office of the State Youth Leader and pledged its readiness to mobilize massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in forthcoming elections.

They concluded by expressing confidence in the leadership and capacity of the Bayelsa State APC Youth Leader to continue delivering on the party’s vision of expansion, inclusion, and grassroots development.
