Minister of the Federal Capital Territor,y Nyesom Wike has dismissed the presidential bid of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Wike, who was reacting to Amaechi’s claims that he knows President Bola Tinubu’s weakness, said the former Minister of Transport’s presidential bid is “dead on arrival.”

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Wike said Amaechi knows he cannot secure the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress.
The former Rivers State governor is currently a member of the ADC, and rumours are rife that he intends to run for the presidency in 2027.
But Wike said, “He (Amaechi) knows he won’t get the ticket. I read that he said he knows the weaknesses of the president, so he knows how to defeat him, but he also knew the weaknesses of the president in 2022 when the president defeated him mercilessly in the primary.
“Nigerians know the last person they will give a ticket to because they know it (Amaechi’s bid) is dead on arrival.”
