Zamfara State Government has warned technical officers responsible for supervising AGILE Project in various education institutions to be just and fair in the work or face sanction.
Addressing the officials during a one-day sensitization meeting, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mallan Wadatau Madawaki said the government was committed to the success of the AGILE Project in the state.
He stated that the officials were carefully selected for the work and therefore, expected to perform well.
Madawaki explained that any act of negligence in the discharge of the AGILE Project would not be condoned.
He said the agreement reached between the state and the World Bank must be respected and diligently observesed.
The Commissioner explained that the state government’s declaration of a state of emergency in education was due to the educational decay in the state.
“The state of education in Zamfara was in a poor condition interns of structure and learning before the of the present administration, therefore, the concern resulted to the emergency in the sector”, he added.
Madawaki said that, the state government’s collaboration with the AGILE Project was for the benefit of the state.
He urged the technical officers to support the state government mission of moving the state forward for the benefit of everybody.
According to him, anybody found compromising the standard in the execution of the projects would have himself to blame, as state government would not hesitate to take legal action against defaulters.
