Presidential candidate of Allied Peoples Movement, Seyi Makinde has accused the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections, Senator Sharafadeen Alli of planning to create tension among the residents through misleading statements.
Makinde made this allegation in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, o Tuesday evening.

Makinde is the incumbent governor of Oyo State. His second term is expected to end May next year.
Alli had earlier raised the alarm over the alleged sale of some lands in the state to some developers.
The APC governorship flagbearer, in a statement signed by the director of his campaign organisation, Bisi Oladele, alleged that Makinde was planning to sell some lands to some developers.
He added that the governor should stop selling government property to private individuals and developers.
But Makinde, in his reaction, dismissed the allegations.
The Governor in the statement explained that Alli’s aim is to create tension in the state through unverified claims, stressing that all decisions taken by his administration are guided by law.
Makinde further advised the APC candidate to desist from raising false alarm.
He added that such unverified claims could create tension among residents of the state.
Makinde said, “It is designed to create unnecessary anxiety among residents of Oyo State over a matter on which the government has neither taken any secret decision nor acted outside the law”.
