Senate, on Thursday, confirmed Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The confirmation followed the ministerial nominee’s screening same day.

Darma was on Wednesday nominated by President Bola Tinubu as a minister in his cabinet. He is to replace the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who read the communication from the President at plenary, had referred Darma’s nomination to the Committee of the Whole for further legislative action, with a directive to report back as soon as practicable.
Darma is a former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.
