2027: Saturday’s FCT, Rivers, Kano polls not indicative of future results – ADC

National Treasurer of the African Democratic Congress, Mani Ahmad, says the outcome of the recent Federal Capital Territory Area Council polls and the bye-election in Kano and Rivers States are not indicative of future results in the 2027 general elections.

Ahmad said this on Tuesday in an interview on ‘Morning Brief’, a programme on Channels Television.

He was reacting to the recent FCT Area Council election and the bye-election in Kano and Rivers State.

The ruling All Progressives Congress clinched five Area Councils while the Peoples Democratic Party won in Gwagwalada Area Council.

APC also cleared the bye-elections in Rivers and Kano States.

The ADC chieftain in a reaction said, “If anybody expects that the results of these elections in the FCT, Rivers, and Kano would be our scorecard and that nothing will change in 2027, then they will be in for a big surprise.

“Significant efforts are underway to unite the front team, integrate experienced individuals, and develop a clear strategy for winning future elections.

“The party and its members are dedicated to this objective.”
