President Bola Tinubu says the real leaders of the All Progressives Congress in different states across the federation are the governors.
Tinubu made this declaration at the official reception of Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State in Jalingo, the state capital.
Tinubu declared that the APC is under the leadership of every state governor in the country.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the President declared Governor Kefas the leader of the APC in Taraba State following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC.
Tinubu also reiterated his determination to support the governor and his cabinet to bring development to Taraba State.
He said Governor Kefas had been making efforts to unite the state and harmonise its diversity to achieve unity.
Tinubu said, “I urge you all in Taraba to rally behind the governor and support him to succeed.
“I am satisfied with the defection of a governor in the North-East geopolitical zone, and I want both Adamawa and Bauchi to join the party at the centre.”
