A group, Community Action Group has raised the alarm that the opposition party in Edo State, the All Progressives Congress has imported thugs and armi them with guns ahead of the proposed nationwide protest starting on August 1.
The suspected thugs have allegedly been armed to the teeth to cause mayhem during the protests so as to give the state a bad image.
Spokesperson for the group, Yusuf Ahmed identified one of the suspected thugs as one Norbert Okubor, who is an aide to a former governor of the state and a serving Senator.
The group therefore warned that Edolites should be wary of the APC as they know the electorates have rejected the party.
Ahmed said the APC doesn’t mean well for the state nor the country, as it wants to destabilize the polity because they have lost their relevance among the people.
