…as jubilation erupts amongst excited party members, branches
Ahead of Saturday’s scheduled national convention, an Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, on Monday, sustained its earlier order clearing the main opposition party to proceed with the event scheduled for 15th and 16th November, 2025 in the Oyo State capital.

Presiding Judge, Justice A.L Akintola, during the resumption of the hearing on Monday, sustained the Order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission to attend, monitor and or observe the PDP’s elective National Convention as scheduled, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.
Justice Akintola also sustained his earlier Order to the PDP National Working Committee, National Executive Committee and the National Convention Organising Committee to ensure the conduct of the National Convention as scheduled.
Monday’s ruling totally clears the way for the PDP to conduct its elective National Convention on Saturday to elect new national officers to pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Meanwhile, Monday’s court ruling has stirred jubilation among party members and various state chapters.
