… says massive support for PDP guber flagbearer has thrown APC in disarray
The massive support for the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo has thrown the camp of the opposition party into disarray, a chieftain of the party, Chief Eriki Johnson has said.
Johnson stated against the backdrop of what he described as blackmail and blatant lies being peddled against Ighodalo’s candidacy.
He said that the massive support being given to Ighodalo had been creating fears in the camp of APC and its governorship candidate, Monday Okpehbolo, as their likely rejection at the polls is staring them frontally.
He said it’s a known fact that Ighodalo enjoys support from every nook and cranny of the state.
Johnson added that the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo has garnered overwhelming acceptance of Edolites.
“His candidacy was never rammed down the throats of civil servants and commercial drivers across the state as being speculated by the losing opposition camp,” he said.
According to Johnson, “Edo citizens should shine their eyes, as the election approaches. It’s time for us to separate the one that has what it takes to govern and the one that will be acting Oshiomhole’s script.
“The apostle of ‘one-man-one-vote’ and ‘No godfatherism’ still wants to come back as a godfather of Edo State,” Eriki noted.
He added that “our people are more enlightened and ready to vote for the candidate who is best qualified and has a blueprint on how to improve our people and our state.
“This is why we want a free and fair election so that we can vote for the candidate of our choice.”
